If you're craving beautiful country views, spectacular oak trees, and cool dips in the pool, this one's for you! This incredible 5,000 sq ft home is what country dreams are made of: space for the whole family, all your friends, and then some! Soak up breathtaking scenery and renew your soul; it's guaranteed to take up permanent residence in your mind, providing incredible memories, laughs, and love. Just a short and easy 17-minute drive to downtown, this is a stay for the record books.
The Space:
Originally built in 1976 on 87 acres, this home is bursting with incredible history. One of Waco, Texas's own country music stars spent a lot of time in this home in his youth; his name is carved into the cement of the carport. It was later purchased by a couple who built the horse barn and had up to 80 Egyptian Arabian horses at one time. In '97, the publisher of the Waco Tribune Herald purchased the home and enjoyed the property for 14 years before the current owners bought the land, house, and guesthouse.
The house is a sprawling 5,000 sq ft of pure delight. There's a large and spacious kitchen with a wonderful view of the pool outside. Two dining areas with two tables and space for a total of 12 seats. An inviting living area with a large TV and plenty of seating options/reading nooks. An adjoining game area with a pool table, couch, and a 65" smart TV. The den leads out to a massive 400-year-old oak tree that is so majestic you'll find yourself staring at its large reaching branches in pure amazement and wonder (it really is spectacular).
With 11 beds and a fold-out futon in the main house, there is plenty of space for all your favorites. The main house also features 4 full bathrooms, keeping the fights for showers at bay (hooray!).
There is a guesthouse located a short walk from the main house that is rented out long term. Any long term guest staying at the guesthouse has their own parking & will not interfere with your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entirety of the home except for a locked closet.
Guests will be asked to admire the century-old barn and horse stables from the outside.
Guests will be instructed to stay off the oak trees.
Guests will respect the animals' space by staying out of the surrounding pastures.

other things to note
ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED. If we see or find evidence of a pet on the property after your departure, a minimum $500 cleaning fee will be charged to your stay. The reason we have this rule in place is that some people are allergic to pet dander. Our guests' health is a top priority. This rule will be strictly enforced.
LIVING ROOM, DEN, MASTER BEDROOM & GUESTHOUSE HAVE SMART TVs WITH STREAMING APPS AVAILABLE. NO CABLE.
We provide both a regular coffee machine, as well as a Keurig and pods.
The main house provides a total of 5 bedrooms and breaks down as follows:
MAIN FLOOR: 1 King Bedroom (attached bathroom), 1 Queen Bedroom, and 1 King Bedroom with an additional fold-out futon.
UPPER FLOOR: 1 Large Bedroom with 5 Twin Beds (attached bathroom) & 1 Additional Bedroom with 2 Twin Beds & 1 Full-size Bed with an attached bathroom.
Propane grill with limited propane provided.
Pool measures 24' x 36', with depths of 3'-9'. Pool towels are provided. This is not a heated pool.
We have two washers and two dryers.
The master bed has an adjustable bed frame.

This place was perfect to host some friends and family while visiting/reminiscing in our college town. We loved the peaceful rural setting (with decent proximity to restaurants and activities). Our teens enjoyed the pool and pool table. The decor was classy and comfortable. Overall, a great stay!

The oak tree manor is a beautiful peaceful place for big families. We stayed there during our daughters Baylor graduation and invited our family to join us in the celebration. The kids had lots of fun playing in the pool and the pool table. The place is spacious and clean. We recommend it to everyone especially big families and will come back again.

The property and the views of the country were amazing. This place was great for a nice private getaway for a large or multi family group with plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing, while enjoying being together in one place. Being in Texas during the summer made spending time together relaxing in the house or in the pool on a hot day perfect.

This very clean, beautifully decorated and spacious home provided the perfect peaceful gathering place for our large family. It was a great place to spend the hot summer days either in the pool with its scenic ranch landscape or in the well air conditioned house with its many comfortable and cozy seating areas.
